The Saigh Foundation Awards Grant to KITM
ST. LOUIS (August 16, 2022) – Kids In The Middle (KITM) is proud to announce that the Agency has been awarded a grant of $7,500 from The Saigh Foundation. The funds will help provide children and families with life-changing social and emotional skills to heal from the trauma of divorce and separation.
“The Saigh Foundation’s continued support has allowed us to further our mission over the years,” says Katy Walter, CEO of KITM. “We both have a passion for children and understand that children experiencing these difficult family transitions adjust much better when they are able to share their feelings and process them.”
The Saigh Foundation works to enhance the quality of life for children and youth in the St. Louis metropolitan area by supporting educational and health-related charitable institutions and organizations. Since being established in 2000, the Foundation has distributed over 55 million dollars to those in need.
KITM will not turn families away because of an inability to pay for counseling services. The Agency uses a sliding scale fee process, and families pay what they can afford. Approximately 90 percent of the children and families that receive services at KITM receive some level of financial assistance. This is made possible through the generosity of foundations such as The Saigh Foundation, individual and corporate grants, the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the Children’s Services Fund.
