The Neeb Family Foundation Awards Grant to KITM
ST. LOUIS (August 4, 2022) – Kids In The Middle (KITM) is proud to announce that the Agency has been awarded a grant of $5,000 from the Neeb Family Foundation. The funds will help provide Group Counseling for children navigating through the trauma of divorce and separation.
“We are grateful to have the Neeb Family Foundation’s support of our mission,” says Katy Walter, CEO of KITM. “Group counseling provides children with a safe space to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings with other children going through similar situations, making them feel validated, supported, and understood.”
The Neeb Family Foundation is a charitable foundation that places its emphasis on the support of Christian educational programs, facilities, and students at all academic levels and programs that facilitate Christian witness and service. They also support work by secular organizations that assist in the area of human care at many levels. Since its inception in 2007, the Neeb Family Foundation has distributed more than 3.9 million dollars in support of its mission.
KITM will not turn families away because of an inability to pay for counseling services. The Agency uses a sliding scale fee process, and families pay what they can afford. Approximately 90 percent of the children and families that receive services at KITM receive some level of financial assistance. This is made possible through the generosity of foundations such as the Neeb Family Trust, individual and corporate grants, the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the Children’s Services Fund.
